I come from the Vladimir Oblast in Russia. I have lived in Switzerland since 2007. In 2010, I founded The Russian Language Studio in Zurich.

I acquired my professional knowledge in teaching Russian as a foreign language at the State Academy of Slavic Culture in Moscow. The focus of my studies was, among other things, on the culture, history and theory of Russian literature. For example, I wrote my final thesis on Pasternak's novella "Doctor Zhivago" and its significance for Russian culture. I like to integrate Russian classical and modern literary works into my lessons in consultation with the students in order to convey an understanding of Russian culture and society.

I also studied Gender Studies in the Master's and PhD programmes at the Central European University in Budapest. At a later stage, I did research for the Swiss National Fund at the Chair of Organisational Psychology at the University of St. Gallen. Overall, my study and research experience in Gender Studies helps me to explain significant and exciting aspects about Russian society and culture during the lessons.

I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language since 2009 and in 2014 I won the international competition "Best Russian Teacher Abroad", which was held within the framework of a funding programme of the Russian Federation.

In 2022-2023, two volumes of my teaching material "Russkaja igra A1" were published in Zurich. My teaching material is also used at the two Slavic seminars of the Universities of Zurich and Konstanz. Now I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for Slavic languages and culture with you.
