Your success and satisfaction from learning Russian is also my success and satisfaction. That is why I apply all my motivation and professionalism to creating lively and inspiring lessons – regardless of the level of the course or group.

I acquired my teaching skills of Russian as a foreign language at the State Academy of Slavic Culture in Moscow. My studies focused not only on the Russian language but also on Russian culture, history and literary theory. For example, I wrote my final thesis on Pasternak's novel Doctor Zhivago and its significance for Russian culture. To help my students understand more about Russian culture and society, I am happy to include classical and modern Russian literary works in my lessons.

In addition, I studied gender issues in the Master and PhD programs at the Central European University in Budapest. Later, I did research for the Swiss National Science Foundation at the Organisational Psychology Department at the University of St. Gallen. Overall, my study and research experience in gender studies helps me to explain important and exciting aspects of Russian society and culture during the lessons.

I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language since 2009 and won a prize at the The Best Russian Language Teacher Abroad competition, an international event organised by the Russian Federation, in July 2014. I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for the Russian language and culture with you.
